Host a House Concert with Chasing Summer

Host a House Concert with Chasing Summer

This summer, we had an amazing time on our European Honeymoon Tour 2012. The sound company JBL sponsored us with a sweet portable sound system which we carted on trains, plains, and autos all over Europe, allowing us to do intimate concerts in the living rooms of our friends and music fans.  We had such a good time that we thought it was time to do the same thing here at home, and we wanted to offer you the chance to get involved.

What is a house concert?

A house concert is a live performance usually held in your living room, garage, backyard, etc. Usually 30-50 people attend, more if room allows!  Can you imagine an intimate gathering of friends at your place for a night of tasty snacks, heartfelt music and stories?  We love to make house concerts fun events, and we’ll play 2 sets of about 45 minutes of music per set, taking a break between sets to mingle and get to know the hosts and guests.

Why should I have one?

What better way to enjoy music than with your friends and family in a comfortable, cozy setting! House concerts are a great way to provide a quality music experience for you and your guests while providing an intimate, attentive audience for Tammy and Joseph “Chasing Summer”.

What will it cost me?

Most house concert hosts have a suggested donation of 10 Dollars per guest. In addition, hosts can sell snacks and beverages to make up the cost. To cover our minimum of 300 Dollars for a concert we recommend at least 30 guests at 10 Dollars per person, or the host can sponsor some or all of the cost of the concert if they desire.

What do I need to provide?
  • A living room, bonus room, or outdoor space with seating (chairs, pillows, blankets) for at least 30 people
  • Organize snacks and drinks
  • No sound system needed – Chasing Summer will provide their own
How to get started

Email us and we’ll work out a time with you.  Hope to see you at your home soon!

  1. Are you guys doing dates this month? I could be interested in hosting a show in Philly at the end of October.
