European Honeymoon Tour and JBL Sponsorship

We kicked off our European Honeymoon Tour in mid-May, just 3 days after our wedding.  We spent a week honeymooning in Scotland before officially starting the “Tour” portion of the summer, but we made sure to take a few Honeymoon breaks like a night in London to see the thought-provoking musical “Wicked” and a day in lovely Basel, Switzerland.

For the tour, we were extremely blessed by the amazing sound company JBL, who sponsored us with a sweet portable sound system which we carted on trains, plains, and autos all over Europe.  It was a lot of work, but it allowed us to do concerts in the living rooms of our friends and music fans, which was a blast.

Getting Married in a Recording Studio

Joseph and I got married this May at Dark Horse Recording Studio in Franklin, TN.  We had an outdoor ceremony and we were extremely thankful that the rain cleared off for the ceremony after we woke up on our wedding day to rain.  We had a small group of friends and family who made the journey from all over the US and even as far away as Poland, Germany, and Nicaragua, and we were really blessed by everyone who came. After our interview with Sue, we began the tour at the “Blue Ball” in Grantchester on Thursday, May 24 followed by a Sold-Out Show with Cara Luft at Acoustic Routes in Cambridge on Saturday, May 26. We spend time catching up with our good friend & genius Malcolm Guite and his lovely family and met the brilliant Steve Bell (Canadian singer/Songwriter).
We head off to Birmingham, UK in the morning for a radio interview.
